Job description
Work in a small cross-functional team with high focus on quality and continuous improvements.
Together with colleagues, develop and enhance the Navigation functionality in the car to provide the end user with a great experience. Development is done in a full-stack environment using C++ and the Android tool set.
The latest tools and technologies are used, collaborating with partners and other teams to deliver state-of-the-art software. Features are tested by implementing automated test cases running in the CI environment.
The team is also involved in testing and troubleshooting in real vehicles, providing interesting real-life insight into products.
Requirement profile
A curious, problem-solving person with a true team player mindset who works effectively with others to achieve results is sought. Flexibility and the ability to handle multiple parallel tasks at the same time are important. The candidate should be driven, quality-conscious, and inspired by technical challenges.
A M.Sc. or B.Sc. within Electronics, Software Engineering, or a similar field is required, along with 5 years of relevant experience in software development using C++, Python, Java, or similar.
Experience in Android platform development, Continuous Integration, and familiarity with Agile methods is required. Good English skills, both written and spoken, are essential.
Apart from the above, it is meritorious to have:
Experience in development in Android Automotive – Platform development
Experience in Automotive Infotainment
Experience working in Navigation or Positioning
A valid driver’s license, B-level
Long-term 12+ month contract.

Assignment Description:
You will be part of a growing, dynamic team responsible for the development from scratch
First 6 months will be primarily technical proof of concepts and UX experiments to establish the foundation for the Android app development
We are working closely with Volvo Cars R&D in Gothenburg
You will work closely with technology experts, cross-disciplinary software engineers, product engineers and testers to create proofs of concept, prototypes and products.
Requirements:
Experience with Android Development
Experience with embedded engineering
Experience with C/C++ and Linux Python
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Good interpersonal skills and an ability in an agile team
Experience from automotive or mobility
Experience working in start ups
Min 5 years expertise.
