Job Description: We are looking for a Construction Manager (CM) for a greenfield project where the client wishes to build new facilities to house changing rooms, kitchens, control room etc. You might get involved in brownfield projects as well. This role can also be covered by an experienced "platschef" that has been involved in greenfield projects before. The CM has the responsibility to lead, manage and control all construction-related activities in the project to deliver on requirements, budget and schedule. A CM has in principle the following main tasks and duties, but some might not be suitable for this project. Important is to be on site in Skellefteå.
Review the baseline of the Constructability Study Report
Define, together with the Client, a project construction philosophy in accordance with the contract
Support the engineering team to ensure a good constructability of the plant
Define construction activities, sequences, resources and time periods in order to develop the detailed construction schedule based on the contract
Prepare and communicate the Construction Manual, in line with the Project Management Plan
Support the Project Manager in acquiring the project construction team
Ensure that the contractor(s) perform their work in the framework of the schedule, budget and quality defined in the contract specifications
Track progress of contractor(s) performance. Prepare and enforce implementation of acceleration plans. In that regard work closely with the project scheduler who is assigned to assist the construction Manager
Implement and enforce the quality and HSE&S and management procedures in cooperation with the Quality and HSE&S Managers
Ensure that proper quality documentation is maintained at site in cooperation with the Quality Inspector
Monitor material receipt procedures and non-conformance report procedures as described in the Construction Manual
Ensure that technical queries procedures, quality management procedures are followed.
