We are now looking for a skilled Scala Developer to join an agile and forward-thinking team working at the cutting edge of streaming data architectures.
In this role, you will collaborate in a hybrid setup, contributing both independently and cross-functionally to develop robust, privacy-focused digital solutions.

Description of the Assignment

You will be part of a small, agile team focused on delivering scalable, secure and well-tested solutions using a modern, functional tech stack. The team maintains a strong engineering culture with automated testing, observability, and privacy-first design. The work includes both back-end development in Scala and potentially contributing to full-stack development using React and TypeScript.

Requirements

• Has strong Scala skills (or significant experience in a functional language and eager to dive into Scala)

• Is experienced or interested in Pekko/Akka and streaming data architectures

• Is comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a small, agile team

• Appreciates full-stack development and understands React/web gRPC (a bonus)

• Fluency in English

Tech Stack & Practices

• Languages: Scala, React, TypeScript

• Frameworks & Libraries: Pekko Actors & Streams, gRPC (web and server-side), Vite

• Infrastructure & Tools: GitLab CI/CD, Gradle (Kotlin DSL), Docker, Kubernetes (platform-managed), Linux

• Testing & QA: Extensive automated testing (ScalaTest, Vitest, Cypress), structured scenario-based simulation

• Observability: OpenTelemetry for comprehensive tracing, metrics, and logging. Otel to Grafana

• Security: Rigorous privacy and security practices throughout the development lifecycle
