- BACKGROUNDAerodynamic CFD specialists can provide expertise, feedback and guidance in the design
development to get an optimal aerodynamic design, and at the same time reach as competitive
aesthetic design as possible.PURPOSEneed to improve Aerodynamics and lower Cd on the cars, to be competitive.
Furthermore, we need the expertise to be able to move fast in CFD, due to very tight time plan.
The work includes guiding the design themes for a specific PS program to a proper AERO
level, that is then basis, for the single model selection. The process then continues by taking
the chosen theme towards the AERO target, by providing technical input and guidance. This
will be implemented in the DSM3/4 release. The main task is to guide the designers and help
evaluate CFD results and when needed also guide the CFD team to reach as good and
correlated results as possible. At certain occasion CFD run may be needed.MATERIAL / EQUIPMENT /Supplier will cater for all needed equipment, such as computer, soft ware as well as capacity
for CFD runs.LOCATIONSAt the supplier site, but on site at Polestar design, when needed. This could mean travel to the
Polestar design studio in Gothenburg.DATE, TIMETABLE/TIMEPLAN AND MILESTONESThe work will be conducted during 2025 Q3 and Q4 based upon need. At certain periods
related to project deliveries, it may be more intense than other.WORKPROCESSBeing part of the cross functional team at Polestar, guiding the design team through analysing
CFD data and providing technical input, and as well when needed guide the CFD team to
reach as good AERO as possible. The process is iterative, where the design is looped in CFD,
evaluated, transformed into technical input and then implemented if supporting the over all
ambitions.______
