Role Summary

We are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer responsible for updating, maintaining, and validating electrical design documentation and calculations across multiple tools and platforms. The role involves ensuring accurate location coding, compliance with standards, and consistency across electrical layouts, part lists, and system calculations.

Area of Responsibility

• Electrical E-Plan & Layout
  • Update and maintain location codes in electrical schematics and layouts.
  • Develop and modify electrical drawings as per project requirements.
  • Tools: EPLAN, AutoCAD

• Electrical Part List Management
  • Update location codes and ensure consistency in electrical part lists.
  • Extract and validate part list data generated from EPLAN outputs.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of BOMs.

• Cable Calculations
  • Update location codes in cable calculation documents.
  • Perform and validate cable sizing and related calculations.
  • Tool: El-vis

• Energy Calculations
  • Update location codes where applicable in energy calculation documents.
  • Support energy consumption analysis as per project scope.

• IP Address Management
  • Update location codes in electrical documentation related to IP addressing.
  • Ensure alignment with system architecture and network requirements.

• Performance Level (PL) Calculations
  • Update location codes in safety-related PL calculations.
  • Perform and validate PL calculations in line with safety standards.

• Electrical Topology
  • Update and maintain electrical topology diagrams with correct location codes.
  • Ensure clarity and accuracy of system connectivity.
  • Tool: Visio

Knowledge / Experience – 3 to 6 Years

Ø  Strong knowledge of electrical system design, industrial automation, and control panel engineering.

Ø  Good understanding of electrical safety standards, performance level (PL) concepts, and risk reduction principles.

Ø  Experience in creating and maintaining electrical schematics, layouts, part lists, and topology diagrams.

• Practical experience with location code management and maintaining data consistency across multiple engineering tools.

Hands on experience with:

• EPLAN for electrical schematics and part list generation
• AutoCAD for electrical layouts
• El vis for cable calculations
• Sistema for performance level calculations
• Visio for electrical topology documentation

Exposure to industrial, manufacturing, or automotive projects is preferred.

Experience working with global teams and customer specific documentation standards is an advantage.

Qualification:

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical engineering or Equivalent.
• Experience in industrial automation or manufacturing engineering projects.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
