We are currently looking to recruit a Junior Electrical Engineer for a Data Centre project in Sweden.
Key Responsibilities / Duties: · Preparing design calculations, drawings and specifications. · Appraising and selecting the correct solution for the project. · Reviewing drawings and specifications to ensure they meet the requirements of all stakeholders. · Advising our site staff with regards to addressing particular technical issues as they occur. · Assisting Senior Engineers with site surveys and inspections. · Developing procurement strategies. · Managing the equation between value for money, quality and service. · Negotiating with stakeholders to ensure best value for both the company and our clients. · Ensuring all works are carried out as per site and legislative requirements. · Assisting with the preparation of technical and contract documentation for issue. · Preparing design risk assessments. · Carrying out document control, recording and transmitting information. · Liaising and co-ordinating with clients, site manager, other members of the design team and contractors on technical issues. · Assembling bid, approval and construction issue drawing packages. · Evaluating the effectiveness of the design and changing where necessary. · Generating specifications. · Controlling the efficiency of processes. · Supervising technicians and other Engineers during the development phase. · Any other reasonable and relevant duties as requested by your Manager, necessary to meet the ongoing needs of the company. Skills / Qualifications Requirement:
· A third level electrical engineering degree or equivalent · A minimum of 1 year's experience working in an electrical engineer role · Design experience preferable. · Experience in the Building Services and Commercial sectors is desirable. · Experience in High and Medium Voltage systems would be desirable. · Ability to deliver results while working in a fast paced and often pressurised environment. · The ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strength and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. · Ability to manage one’s own time. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to influence and persuade others to change their mind. · Attention to detail is essential. · IT Skills: Microsoft Office and MS Project. Experience in AMTECH would be an advantage but not essential. Ability to use computers to produce and analyse designs.
