Job Description
Our are looking for a Process Development Engineer to it´s Research Centre with a strong interest in composites and design for manufacturing processes and emphasis on Aerospace applications. You will be part of the design process and test out processes for our future Engine component designs. You and the team will work together with our University partners on Research questions for composite materials. Typically you will work with the development of the next generation technologies for compressor and fan structures in composite and mixed composite/metal materials. The work is performed in internal technology development projects, technology demonstrators and in research projects often done in bilateral or multilateral collaboration with our partners in the EU as well as in the USA. Your work will typically consist of: Selecting the best combination of processes and materials for specific product applications. Specify and test out manufacturing processes Working practically in our workshop with designed processes Working to avoid problems arising during the manufacturing process for the finished product Helping to ensure that products comply with national and international legal and standards Considering the costs and sustainability implications of materials used and alternatives.
English only is sufficient language skill for this assignment
Job Requirements- You are a Process Engineer with a Bachelor or MSc degree in Materials, Mechanical Engineering or relevant education/experience with interest in designing and testing out manufacturing processes from composites.
- You want to work in a global cross discipline team with design, material and mechanical Engineers developing composite components
- You can take responsibility of maintenance and development of process equipment and materials used in our programs.
- You can interpret the research program needs regarding material selection and proper design criteria and have good ability to communicate and present results internally as well as with our research partners You are interested in research in the field of composite manufacturing processes and materials for engine structures
- You have good social and communication skills, the ability to create effective networks and can take on a technical responsibility role
- You are proficient in English.
