Job Description
• Responsible for managing the coordinated multi-discipline design of a project through all of the design stages i.e. concept, basic, detailed, As-Built and final handover to the customers Operations and Maintenance depts.
• Managing a team of discipline engineers who are responsible for ensuring that the delivered design is in compliance with the technical requirements and the required quality.
• Managing the external design consultants to ensure that they are delivering in accordance with the agreed contract, the customers technical requirements and the required quality.
• Preparing the project design phase execution plan complete with project time schedule.
• Engaging the external design consultants, including the preparation of the scope of work.
• Interfacing with all internal stakeholders to gather the relevant user requirement specifications and provision of same to the external design consultants in line with the project time schedule.
• Managing the interfaces with the internal stakeholders throughout the design phase. • Tracking delivery status of engineering deliverables and packages, proactively identifying threats to the delivery, and proposing and/or implementing mitigating actions together with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensuring timely responses to queries and requests from contractors (RFIs, RFCOs, COs, constructability clashes) to support the project timeline.
• Managing design changes throughout the different design phases and the impact of same on the construction activities during the Execution stage.
Minimum 5 years of experience.
English only is sufficient language skill for this
