Job Description:
We are looking for experienced Engineering Managers for EPCM/EPC projects. You should have a good track record and experience from big and complex projects. You will be working in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment. Experience from projects towards the chemical industry is a plus.
As a Engineering Manager you have the responsibility to lead, manage and control all engineering-related activities in the project to deliver on requirements, budget and schedule.
Within the Project Core Team, the Engineering Manager has in principle the following main tasks and duties:- Prepare and communicate the Engineering Manual, in line with the Project Management Plan
- Organize the Engineering kick-off meeting with the lead discipline engineers.
- Define, with support by the lead discipline engineers and together with the Client, a uniform design philosophy in accordance with the contract, the agreed standards and local design requirements;
- Define together with the lead discipline engineers engineering activities, sequences, resources and time periods in order to develop the detailed engineering schedule based on the contract;
- Organize, follow-up and report the progress of engineering
- Support the Project Manager in acquiring the Project Engineering Team
- Coordinate and control all engineering activities in the project execution to ensure that the engineering output meet the contractual and legal requirements Needs to ensure that the internal checking procedures are done
- Organize internal weekly meetings with the lead discipline engineers
- Organize engineering working meetings with the Client and prepare / issue the minutes of meeting
- Inform Project Manager and Client on need of meetings with the suppliers when necessary
- Communicate any changes in the engineering to the Project Manager in a timely manner with a PCR
- Support the PM with any change orders towards the Client performance of the engineering team members (with support from the Lead Discipline Engineers) and give feedback.
