For our Client from automotive industry, - we are looking for Specialist Engineer (HVAC) / Process and Methodology Specialist
The new HVAC Engineer is leading the way in sustainable thermal management in mega casting. The engineer will lead the sourcing and execution of aluminium melt chain, all filters, ventilation and HVAC plus the media and waste management.
✔️Role purpose and objectives:
Source and execute the implementation of all thermal and liquid media related activities in the foundry. This include production systems, tools and equipment in both cast house and machining. The specialist will ensure all equipment meet latest BREF both EU and local levels and is aligned with building management systems (BMS). Implementation is driven by car programs.
✔️Responsibilities:
Leads or executes equipment projects (develops, calculates, plans, procures, and verifies) for aluminum melt chain within the cast house. Execution include manage suppliers, trainstaff and ensure that shaft melter, melt feed, dross rates density meets targets.
Leads or executes equipment projects (develops, calculates, plans, procures, and verifies) for ventilation & filtration systems within the casting & Machining production process.
Ensure s way for plant to measure the air quality processes or practices for filtration etc. for environmental sustainability, considering factors such as greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution and energy use.
Apply continuous improvement methods such as lean manufacturing to enhance manufacturing quality, capability, sustainability, or cost-effectiveness.
Analyse information, specify the methods, process steps, machinery and equipment required to design and continuously improve own area, to secure the product within specified cost and quality parameters.
Engineering.
Local owner of the technical process specification including Process & Inspection Instructions and responsible to secure process changes fulfil the specification.
Local representative in programs regarding enviromental (Emissions to air, water) related topics.
Close collaboration with other functions within the area and supports when expertise competence is needed.
Share knowledge and experience, and offer trainings accordingly, to improve capability and competence of end-user and other support units within the site.
Participates in or leads relevant standard- and technical organizations within the area of responsibility with authority to represent VCC.
Follows the established working methods and applicable BMS routines.
Contributes to annual work and projects early phase with specialist competence, works for Process Driven Product Design.
Lead and support in FMEA and Risk assessment activities within the area of responsibility
Communicate with transparency, escalate and handshake deviations in time.
Reporting status and deviations in established systems / tools and ensure that there are action plans to reach targets.
Plan and prioritize tasks according to delivery and verification needs, help balance the work of teams that you are part of.
Responsible for ensuring decisions made in assignments are well anchored with other projects or production areas if this can affect them.
Authority
Represent company in T&E projects as Technical responsible within area of responsibility.
Prioritize and decide activities for allocated resources and take all relevant decisions in a project according to agreed project framework.
Escalate issues that create deviations outside the project framework or creates a risk to the success of the project to relevant decision making.
✔️Qualifications:
Self driven and able to manage own time
Factory first policy, home work will be limited
Minimum 10 years in HVAC related profession
Min 5 years in foundry related industry (structural aluminium casting preferred)
Fluent in English, Slovak knowledge a plus
Able to work in heavy equipment installation and commissioning environment
