Lead Mechanical Process Engineer Contract Job

Our client is building a state-of-the-art Gigafactory that will be one of the largest cell production facilities in Europe. They are now looking for one consultant to support the mechanical team.

POSITION/ROLE: Lead mechanical/process engineer

• EDUCATION: Mechanical/process engineer or equivalent
• EXPERIENCE: preferably 7+ years of relevant experience. Good knowledge of the process design and mechanical equipment like vessels, pumps, heat exchangers, carbon filter systems, etc. is required.
• GOOD TO HAVE: Experience in large-scale construction projects with considerable multidisciplinary complexity.
• Availability/start date: ASAP
• DURATION & WORK EXTENT: initially 6 months with possibility for extension, approximately 40h/w.

RESPONSIBILITY:

• Design review and coordination of the Electrolyte and NMP refinery buildings and the NMP and solvent recovery units.
• Participating in the design meeting with design consultants to review the design and coordinate the design with other disciplines.
• Reviewing the detailed design drawing/documents.
• Reviewing the technical specifications and vendor proposal.
• Supporting the mechanical team with other scopes like ventilation and plumbing when needed and supporting the procurement team with reviewing the technical specifications and quotations.
